TV Review: Archer

Big Fat TV Review

Fantastically Inappropriate...

...and loving it.  This has to be one of my all time favorite shows.  It's right up there with Frisky Dingo, Venture Bros, Metalocalypse and Sealab.  If you're a fan of any of those you'll love Archer.  The show follows Sterling Archer a James Bond style secret agent working for ISIS.  He's everything an agent should be deadly, suave, well dressed, philandering and an alcoholic with deep seated mother issues.  His mother with whom he has a very uneasy relationship also happens to runs the agency.  Fortunately for us Archer's mother and everyone else working for the agency are also massively dysfunctional, incredibly self absorbed and has a penchant for one or more fetishes and addictions.  The shows is a wonderfully farcical twist on the typical spy genre and doesn't mind giving the old cliches a few kicks to the ribs.  There are already two full season and a third has been announced.  Season one is available on Netflix and season two just ended.  Enjoy.
