My Kinda Humor
I just shredded through the first two seasons of Parks and Recreation and I simply loved it. It's got a wonderful off the wall tone and plenty of wacky irreverent humor. It's also got lots of new fresh ideas, instead of a lot of recycled sitcom crap. Amy Poehler (SNL 2001-2008) is fantastic as the lead character in this series with her zany and manic acting style setting the high energy mood for the whole show. The other characters in the show are also fantastic in their own right and there's a great synergy in their interaction and acting. One of the things I really like about this show is that the characters have some decent depth, more so than most shows that have similar skit feel to them. In fact there's some decent character and relationship development in the show, but without bringing the comedy to a stand still. If you're a fan of funny you'll love parks in recreation.
