James Charles' Money Art

Big Fat Art ..and Yes It's Legal This was in the news recently and I thought it interesting and note worthy (no pun intended). I'm pretty sure everyone has written on a dollar bill at some point or another, but James Charles takes it to a new level. The sometimes subtle and detailed level of work is so good I didn't even notice the change of wording at the bottom till third or fourth time I was checking these out. It's honestly hard to say which one of his masterpieces is my favorite, but the Vincent van Gogh ten dollar bill I think is the best and most amusing. My second favorite has to be the Oompa Loompa ten dollar bill. Either way they're all quite amusing. Is it art? You can be the judge of that, but it certainly takes some artistic skill, creativity and money to burn. If only I had a couple of 100 dollar bills I didn't need.

Tech Review: Monitor Audio Speakers

Big Fat Tech Review Something To Write Home About I own a couple of different pairs of Monitor Audio Speakers. A set of GS60's as mains and a pair of Radius 225's as surrounds. Both are simply amazing hooked up to my Yamaha RX-V2700 . Monitor Audio knows how to make speakers that crank out some awesome sound. I got the 225's to replace my old surrounds (a pair of Boston Acoustics CR6's) and wow what a difference. The clear difference in having these hooked up while watching a movie is astounding. They absolutely compliment my GS60's, being more like an extension of the 60's as opposed to separate speakers. Subtle effects now pop as they should and background music is clear and crisp, but not overpowering. The first month I had these I got freaked out more than once. Pickled Sausage Recipe

My Big Fat Stomach Mmmm Pickled Meats Okay I'll admit that picture above is not appetizing, but if you like pickled meats you'll look past that. What I'm talking about is Big Mamas, Tijuana Mamas, Fire Cracker Red Hots, etc. Oh yeah that's the stuff, with the spicy pickled taste of meat you love. Basically it's a pickled hot dog with a lot of hot sauce on it. So I had a hankering and decided to make my own batch. I patched together a few recipes and this is what I came up with. 3 c. white vinegar 1 c. water 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. pickling spice 6 bay leaves 1/2 cup of pickle juice if you have it on hand Dried (or 2 tsp. grated) red peppers or a bunch of hot sauce, the more the hotter 2 Package of hot dogs or sausages Cut the hot dogs in half or quarters length wise and set aside. Boil everything but the hot dogs. Again NOT the hot dogs. You will need an empty jar or jars with lids (I used two old 24oz pickle jars). Put the dogs...
