Film Review: Pandorum (2009)

Fat Film Review

How'd I Miss That...

...well I didn't really. Stupidly though I wrote this off as some horror movie and skipped it in my Netflix Queue till last night. Pandorum is actually a very intense Sci-Fi flick with some good old scary thrown in. It begins with two crew members waking up aboard a spaceship with amnesia and seemingly stuck in a sealed room. Neither can recall their mission or where they're going. Bower (Ben Foster) manages to get into the main ship area through some duct work while Payton (Dennis Quaid) stays behind and helps Bower navigate the corridors via a com link. Along the way Bower meets up with other crew members, but they are all violent, disturbed and not to be trusted. Even worse the ship is infested with some alien species that seems to be feeding on the humans that wake up from stasis. Clearly something has gone horribly wrong, but no one knows what has happened or they are simply hiding the truth from Bower and Payton. Ooh, chills. I know. The film had a definite Dead Space feel to it, minus the super graphic violence and gore; it has just enough to get the point across. It's a very good edge of your seat kinda film. This is a good choice for Sci-Fi fans or those who just love some suspense.
