Big Fat Movie Review
Owls?
Yeah Owls. I was weary going into this movie, not that it wouldn't be good, but that it would be too serious. Actually though the movie is a lot of fun. It's not a comedy, but there are plenty of cute or humorous moments that bring a lightheartedness to the film. The story is fairly straight forward a couple of owls who are brothers are kidnapped by a group of owls called the Pure Ones. One of them decides to fight the evil plans of the Pure Ones, with the help the Legendary Guardians of, while the other is seduced by the power of evil. The film is quite imaginative and it also a good amount of action. I rather enjoyed it. In fact the film reminded me a bit of The Secret of Nimh (1982). A little more light, but for some reason it just had the feel to it for me. Definitely a great film for the whole family.
