My Big Fat Movie Review
Being Big Ain't Easy
I've seen a lot of strange Japanese films, but Big Man Japan definitely ranks at the top for weirdness. The film is a fake documentary that follows around King of Pain a.k.a Big Man Japan during his exploits and also his mundane life (when he is regular size). The monsters he fights to save Japan are pretty crazy and if you are a fan of Godzilla style monster movies you'll get a kick out of the film. The film is a little slow to get started and the ending will completely confuse you with it's strangeness, but the ride in between is pretty funny. If you are someone who has sat through strange Japanese films before like Tokyo Zombie or Tetsuo: The Iron Man and appreciated them on some level then you'll like this movie. If can't stand movies like that then you may want to steer clear of Big Man Japan. Either way if you watch it and the ending loses you then go here for a great explanation of the end, it satisfied my questions.
