TV Review: Frisky Dingo (2006-2008) / The Xtacles (2009)

Big Fat TV Review

Boosh!

Frisky Dingo is probably one of the most creative animated shows to ever air, not to mention one of the funniest.  In fact it's pretty hard to summarize everything that happens in the series.  Essentially the show starts with Killface, the white tall humanoid, trying to find a way to spread word of his plans to kill the human race.  Unfortunately he's spent all his money on his massive doomsday device and is finding it difficult to spread the word of the awesome doom that faces mankind.  Opposite Killface is Xander Crews a playboy millionaire who is also the super hero Awesome X and leader of the Xtacles, but he also has a problem: he's wiped out all the super villains and is faced with retiring from superheroing and having to focus on his multi billion dollar empire.  From there Killface and Xander eventually become super hero and archenemy, but the show is so much more than that and things get pretty crazy.  Besides laughing, you never really know what to expect from Frisky Dingo.  One of things I really like about Frisky Dingo is the show has no problem killing off characters whenever it wants, something you don't see in most shows.  One thing is for sure nothing is sacred in Frisky Dingo.  Sadly the show ended after two seasons.  The Xtacles was a spin off about Awesome X's team, but only lasted for one season and although funny in it's own right was a far cry from Frisky Dingo.  Maybe somebody will get some sense and bring Frisky Dingo back.
