AT&T Blows It!
Let's face it DSL kind of sucks to begin with at a max of 6mbps it's just too slow for a lot people, but the one advantage it had over broadband companies like Comcast is it didn't have a bandwidth cap until now (Comcast's cap is 250GB a month). AT&T has just announced that it will be capping it's users at 150GB a month, unless you have their U-verse service in which case it will be a 250GB cap. I love the blatant and obvious abuse of power that AT&T uses here by basically putting a gun to consumers heads to make them use their U-verse TV service in order to get more bandwidth. Isn't this illegal? It is! They're holding the Internet ransom and breaking Anti-Trust laws in the process! At least, unlike Comcast, if you go over their cap they will simply charge your another $10 per 50GBs instead of canceling your service. This type of abuse of power by mega telecommunications companies needs to stop. Giving you sucky or limited service so you are forced to use their inferior product needs to be made illegal. Do yourself a favor and email your congressman and senator to fight this type of corrupt corporate manipulation and instead give the American people Net Neutrality.
