Ultimate Motherboard: EVGA Classified SR-2

My Big Fat Excitement

Save Your Pennies Boys & Girls

The EVGA Classified SR-2 is truly the stuff dreams are made of. Dual CPU motherboards have been around, mostly in the form of server mobos though. A number of years back I talked about building one out as a gaming rig, but now there's the Classified SR-2. Bigger, badder and more dreamy than anything I ever imagined. Now if I just had the 10 to 12 thousand dollars it would take to pimp this baby out. The specs for them self on this baby, try not to droll on your keyboard while reading them. Of course to handle your two Intel Xeon 5650 hex-core processors, 48 gigs of DDR3 ram and your 4 SLI graphics cards you'll need a 1,500 watt power supply and skimping out is not an option, but hey you've already spent 10k so what's another 400 or 500 dollars. You'll also need a really, really big case since this mobo is huge, 13.6in long x 15in wide. Currently the only case that will fit it are the Lian Li PC-v2120, Mountain Mods U2-UFO (extended also), Mountain Mods Ascension (extended also), Mountain Mods Pinnacle 18 and 24, Lian Li PC-P80, Danger Den Black Series - LDR - Tower 29 and the LittleDevil PC-V10. You can check EVGA's forums for updates on compatible cases.
