My Big Fat Review
The Phone Eternal
When Sony wants to they can come out with an amazing piece of equipment and this is one of those times. I bought this phone a decade ago and it is still going strong. The sound is clear and plenty loud, even the speaker phone. The answering machine has three separate voice mail boxes, which is great if you live with others. The battery life is good, brand new it'll give you 8hrs of talk time. After 10 years with the original battery it's still good for 2 hours of talk time. The phone is also rugged, surviving the usual array of accidents, the handset also survived an entire year lost inside of a lazy-boy. As with all Sony products they forgot one thing that seems very obvious and important. The answering machine doesn't tell you what time the message was left. A little annoying, but with this phone not a deal breaker. If you're looking for a rugged phone and answering machine, that'll last you a lifetime, this is the one.
