Okay is this just plain silly? Honestly it's not. Not if you are serious about wine. I can't say I'm a wine expert, but it seriously makes a difference to serve your wine at the right temperature. If you are spending $10 or $20 dollars on a bottle of wine and drinking it at "room temperature" you may as well drink boxed wine. The actual truth is red's are served anywhere from 48-67°F and whites 43-55°F. Click here for a website with exact temps. I've been drinking wine for years and I was honestly amazed at the difference in taste. The thermometer has exact temps on it, but also has four simple settings for red, light red, white, or champagne and sparkling wine and gives you a green light when it's at the right temperature. If you like wine, do yourself a favor and seriously look into a wine thermometer.
